We place the needs of our consumers first in determining the business activities, policies and procedures of Northwest Rural Public Power District. We strive to keep the consumers informed and educated in the activities of the district. We pledge to remain open to opportunities for new services and load growth, which will benefit the membership.
Amiable Services (some for a fee) have included the following:
- Repair yard lights
- Locate underground / cable and sometimes repair it
- Cut down wires, trees, etc.
- Solar power – stockwells
- Material sales (poles, wire, etc.)
- Provide insert
- Provide trucks for digging, lifting equipment, during emergency, etc.
- Outages-quick response
- Liberal disconnect and reconnect procedures
- Energy audits
- Usage checks
- Stray voltage problems
- Help with reading meter / billing for the elderly and physically disabled
- Conference room - free use
- Help with community projects (xmas lighting, rodeo grounds, baseball fields, etc.
- Safety demonstrations to any who ask
- Participate in Home Shows
- Provide Suckers (this brings a big smile to a great number of young & old consumers)
- Black calendar books
- REA pens
- Fire and ambulance volunteers
- Radio communications and the service to all (weather, emerg, etc.)
- Rebate Program (heat & irrigation)
- Off-peak rates
- Scholarship program
- Youth Camp sponsor
- 4-H purchase of livestock at fair time
- Provide beef and napkins for 4-H Banquets in District
- Make copies (10¢) for all
- Send fax messages ($2.50 to send) / receive fax messages at no charge
- Toll free number
- Accept collect phone calls from consumers
- Give away wire reels for picnic tables, etc.
