Off-Peak Heating Program

NEW PEAK PERIODS

Residential  - Time of Use (TOU) rate available to residential consumers when a time of use meter has been installed.  Consumers will need to change their storage heat timers to take full advantage of new peak periods.  Those needing assistance with their timer control will need to contact an electrician.

October 1 thru May 31

10:30 pm to 6:30 am OFF PEAK

6:30 am to 12:00 pm ON PEAK

12:00 pm to 4:00 pm OFF PEAK

4:00 pm to 10:30 pm ON PEAK

 

An extra four hours has been added during off peak, this should allow storage heaters to recharge and take advantage of a lower rate period.

Northwest Rural's goal is to help consumers save money on energy bills and these NEW peak period time frames will provide an additional option to take advantage of. 

Available to residential consumers with inspected installations of approved equipment with 5kw of connected load or greater.  Provided the qualifying equipment is maintained in place and in working condition.

The OFF Peak rate structure will be available to each customer for a period of 5 years from the month that rate is first applied to that individual consumer, provided the qualifying equipment is maintained in place and in working condition.
