Energy Efficiency Credit Program:

Northwest Rural Public Power District and Tri-State G&T Association, our power supplier, offer rebates through our Energy Efficiency Credit Program to our customers who install energy-efficient water heating equipment.

Water Heater – Tri-State's Contribution

1. Basic Water heater $50/unit
- Timer control or low wattage (3kW) $25/unit extra
- Lifetime tank warranty

2. Super Efficient Water Heater $100/unit

- Lifetime tank warranty $25 per unit extra

 *Note: Super efficient unit is defined as a water heating unit that utilizes direct exchange from a ground source or air source heat pump.

Program requires a minimum size of 30 gallons capacity and a minimum six-year warranty on tank

  • Note: All units must meet existing DOE energy factor (EF) ratings: EF = .93 - .00132V where V is the nominal listed tank volume, in gallons. V = V actual/.9
  • Note: Includes direct exchange heat pump water heating units
  • Rebates must be requested within 180 days of installation.
