Water Heater Rebates

Energy Efficiency Credit Program:

Northwest Rural Public Power District and Tri-State G&T Association, our power supplier, offer rebates through our Energy Efficiency Credit Program to our customers who install energy-efficient water heating equipment.

Water Heater Rebates:

Credit applies to new or replacement units that are purchased by, or leased to, the consumer and the program requires a minimum size of 30 gallons capacity and a minimum 6-year warranty on tank.

Water Heater – Tri-State's Contribution

1. Basic Water heater	$50/unit
- Timer control or low wattage (3kW)	$25/unit extra
- Lifetime tank warranty	$25/unit extra
2. Super Efficient Water Heater (Geothermal)	$100/unit
- Lifetime tank warranty	$25/unit extra

*Note: Super efficient unit is defined as a Heat Pump or Heat Pump Waste Heat (Geothermal) primary heating by direct exchange from a ground source or air source heat pump.

Water Heater – Northwest Rural's Contribution

1. Basic Water heater	$20/unit
2. Super Efficient Water Heater	$20/unit

Program requires a minimum size of 30 gallons capacity and a minimum six-year warranty on tank

Rebates must be requested within 180 days of installation.
